Qualitative case studies of pre-service teachers’ use of technology to enhance classroom learning

Qualitative study using case study methodology of the Child Care Assistance Network, a collaborative effort between Wake County Human Services, Child Care Resource and Referral of Wake County, and Wake-Orange-Chatham Head Start and their efforts to establish a “Seamless Subsidy System” of childcare subsidy delivery

Qualitative study using case study methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative school programs located across the state of North Carolina for the Governor’s Council on Crime

Conducted two focus groups for the Study of Child Care Needs of Hispanic/Latino families in Johnston County

 

Lenoir-Greene Partnership for Children (2002)

 

Designed a childcare quality needs assessment to assess the need for quality intervention programs

 

Child Care Resource and Referral Network (2000)

 

Focus group studies to assist in the development of new accreditation standards for the Child Care Resource and Referral Network

 

 

III.             Survey Research

 

Child Care Choices (Johnston County Child Care Resource and Referral) (2005)

 

Designed and implemented a survey research study of Hispanic families’ perceptions of the quality, availability, accessibility, and affordability of child care in Johnston County

 

Child Care Choices (Johnston County Child Care Resource and Referral) (2005)

 

Designed and implemented a survey research study of the outcomes of the Teacher Incentives Program (TIP)

 

Lenoir-Greene Partnership for Children (2002)

 

Designed and implemented a Kindergarten Benchmark Survey to identify factors that influence a child’s readiness for school (2002)

 

Center for Civic Education, Calabras, CA (2001)

 

Survey research was used to determine effectiveness of national civic education curriculum pilot. Surveys were distributed to teachers and principals. Additional methods of data collection include focus groups with students and classroom observations

 

Child Care Choices (2000)

 

Needs assessment using survey methodology of all childcare programs in Johnston County North Carolina for the purposes of planning and implementing a Child Care Resource and Referral technical assistance agency

 

Johnston County Partnership for Children (1999)

 

Child Care Work Force Study involving development and implementation of mail survey early childhood work environment in early childhood programs in Johnston County

Johnston County Partnership for Children (1998)

 

Facilitated a strategic planning process for Johnston County Partnership for Children including an in-depth needs analysis using secondary data, surveys, telephone interviews, and focus group studies
